Fractured Light

Their Fractured Light is the story of Gideon and Sofia and finally brings the reader to Corinth, the capital of the galaxy. He’s a hacker, and she’s from the planet Avon, which was the setting for book two in the series. We first met Gideon as the Knave of Hearts, a hacker employed in This Shattered World. We first met Sofia on the planet Avon, where she helped hide Flynn from the soldiers. But both of them have ties that go further back than that, even if they don’t yet know it.

They’re both criminals — trust comes hard for them, for very good reason, and they both do things in this book that makes it even harder for them to pin their hopes on the other. Ultimately, their fate will rest on their ability to make that leap of faith.

And for those readers who want to know if they’re going to see characters from past books in Their Fractured Light, the answer is a huge YES. You’ll see plenty of them — everything in the series so far has been leading to this moment, which means we’re going to need everyone on deck! Everything that’s happened so far in the series will take on new layers and meaning by the end of this book.

This is my favorite of this full series because so much happens! All the players come back from the previous book and it’s like one big amazing reunion (but it’s not really a reunion for the characters who are all coincidentally tied together in many ways).

The ending was great and perfect for this series. I really can’t wait to see what these amazing writers will come up with next.
